These⁤ initiatives, announced this Friday, include financial aid, ‌social programs, and medical care, marking ⁤a⁤ pivotal step toward healing and reconciliation.⁤

Financial Support and Social ​Programs
The government has pledged 10 million CFA francs to each family of ⁤individuals who ⁣lost their lives during the unrest. Additionally,‌ minor orphans will be granted the status of “pupils of the nation,” ensuring their​ access to education and other​ state benefits. Families will also be enrolled in various ⁢government social programs, such as family security scholarships, universal health coverage, and ‌equal opportunities initiatives. ⁣

To ⁤further empower affected individuals, the state will facilitate access to funding through mechanisms like the ⁢General Delegation for Fast Entrepreneurship for Women⁤ and Young⁣ People (DER/FJ), the National Credit Fund for Women, and the‌ National Fund⁤ for the Promotion of Female Entrepreneurship.

Medical and Psychosocial Care
The Minister emphasized the importance of medical and psychosocial care for ex-prisoners and other ​victims ⁤who were injured‍ or fell ill as a direct result of the events. “This care‍ is based on ‍a medical‍ file established by health structures. The ​members of their families can also benefit from it,” she stated in a note.​

Lump Sum Allowance
A‍ lump sum allowance⁣ of 500,000 CFA francs⁤ has been allocated ​to all ‌individuals⁤ listed in the database established by the ‍National Agency of Statistics and Demography ‌(ANSD). This database was created in collaboration with the⁤ Ministry of Justice, police sources,​ victim representatives, and civil society organizations. ​
