Comparison of the remaining matches between Liverpool and Manchester City in the Premier League

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Manchester City and Liverpool both have a tough match remaining in the title race Premier League this season.

Man City and Liverpool’s rivalry in the race for the Premier League title this season heated up after The Citizens were held to a draw by Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, Monday (14/3) night local time.

The result left Man City only 4 points ahead of Liverpool at the top of the Premier League standings.

With Liverpool one game ahead and still set to meet Man City, the Reds could become Premier League champions this season if they win all their remaining games.

If Liverpool win all the remaining matches, Jurgen Klopp’s team will collect a maximum of 96 points, while Man City will have 95 points. But it is not an easy task for Liverpool to win in the remaining 10 games in the Premier League.

At least there are a number of tough opponents that Liverpool have to fight. Mohamed Salah and friends will still meet Arsenal (March 16), Man City (April 10), Everton (April 23), Tottenham Hotspur (May 7), and Manchester United in an undetermined schedule.

While Man City on paper has a lighter schedule than Liverpool in the remaining Premier League matches this season. Practically only Liverpool and West Ham United (May 15) can be considered as tough opponents for Man City in the remaining nine matches.

Even so, Manchester City still has a great chance of stumbling again, as experienced by Pep Guardiola’s team against Palace this morning.
