Jakarta –
The price of Pertalite is still IDR 10,000 per liter. Pertalite’s only rival, Revvo 90, is sold at IDR 12,500 per liter. This is the comparison of the contents of a Pertalite vs Revvo 90 full tank.
All non-subsidized fuel prices in Indonesia will increase as of October 1 2023. This is different from Pertalite fuel, where the price is still IDR 10,000 per liter. For those of you who are Pertalite users, there are clearly no changes regarding fuel filling. But for other RON 90 BBM users such as Revvo 90, the increase is quite significant.
Revvo 90 was previously sold for IDR 11,300 per liter. However, starting October 1, the price is IDR 12,500 per liter. Thus, Revvo 90 users will feel quite comfortable when filling up with petrol.
Owners of Low MPV cars which in the manual say it is still safe to consume RON 90 fuel, will incur extra costs when filling up Vivo’s ‘Pertalite’. For example, a Toyota Avanza with a tank capacity of 43 liters will cost you IDR 562,500. Meanwhile, if the car is a Mitsubishi Xpander with a tank capacity of 45 liters, the cost is IDR 537,500.
The cost difference is quite significant with Pertalite users. With a tank capacity of 43 liters, Avanza owners who fill a full Pertalite tank will spend IDR 430,000 or IDR 132,500 cheaper than Revvo 90. Likewise, Xpander owners who use Pertalite will spend IDR 87,500 more if they use Revvo 90.
Yes, it’s not surprising because Pertalite is a special type of fuel for assignments. For this reason, the price of Pertalite is set by the government and an additional distribution fee of 2 percent is given. This is different from Revvo 90 which is a general type of fuel and the price can change at any time according to world crude oil prices. If world oil prices are rising, the price of Revvo 90 will certainly increase as well.
For your information, currently Revvo 90 is Pertalite’s only rival. Previously there was also BP-AKR which sold BP 90 but it has stopped as of August 2023.
“As public awareness increases regarding the use of quality fuel with a higher RON, as of August 1 2023 bp-AKR will no longer provide and sell BP 90 fuel at all bp gas stations in the Jabodetabek and East Java areas,” explained PT Aneka Petroindo in an official statement.
“Currently, quality fuel products available throughout the bp gas station network are BP Ultimate, BP 92 and BP Diesel. bp-AKR is always committed to providing quality fuel that can meet people’s needs and support the daily mobility of motorists in Indonesia,” that’s the explanation.
