Now we continue to understand it, but it is too early to talk about a full-fledged experience of use. Therefore, we decided to first test the cameras. For comparison, we took the second generation iPhone SE and iPhone 11 Pro. It is these two models that are of interest to us primarily because the difference in their cost is twofold. This is a very serious gap, but, which is especially interesting, the result of the comparison surprised us greatly. We did not expect such a difference.

The main difference between the second generation iPhone SE and iPhone 11 Pro cameras is that they have a different number of modules. In the first, there is only one module, while in the second there are three of them.
According to this indicator, the novelty definitely loses to the “older brother”. In ordinary life, I often use a wide-angle module, and even more often – a telephoto. Although the zoom is not as large as that of some other smartphones, in certain situations you can not do without it. For example, when you need to shoot something larger, but when approaching the subject, the camera stops focusing normally on it. And sometimes vice versa, it’s just too lazy to get closer and it’s easier to choose an increase due to optics.
I also note that sometimes on a TV module the image is much more artistic. That is, the background is blurred more gently and naturally. This is especially important when shooting objects, because when shooting people, processing works well and blurring still looks very soft.

In the new product, it somehow adjusts the exposure and white balance a little longer. That is, if you point at the iPhone 11 Pro object, you can immediately click the button. In the second-generation iPhone SE, the picture often turns out to be a little fainter at first, especially in cloudy weather, and then it adjusts and the picture becomes a bit more mellow. But the difference is noticeable only if you hold a smartphone in each hand and simultaneously point them at the subject.

Also, it personally hurt me that the second-generation iPhone SE does not have a night mode. I often used it in the iPhone 11 Pro even at those moments when the camera was already dealing with lighting. Without a special night mode that works programmatically and is simply activated in the iPhone 11 Pro and locked in the iPhone SE, in the dark, cameras are shot about the same. I did not notice much difference, and if it is, then, as they say, back and forth. Sometimes one shoots better, sometimes another.
How to remove the front camera of the iPhone SE 2
There are no complaints about the front camera. Perhaps, sometimes the front end of the iPhone 11 Pro lathers the background a little better without touching the hair, but this does not always happen. As a rule, the result is approximately the same.
The only significant difference between the cameras is that the front of the iPhone 11 Pro has a resolution of 12 megapixels, and the new iPhone SE has only 7 megapixels. In order to post a photo on social networks or take a selfie with friends, this is quite enough.

Although, iPhone SE is a little more often mistaken with the settings and processing. The difference is visible only if a direct comparison is made. In ordinary life, it is unlikely to be able to see this difference, since shooting is constantly in different conditions.

I already said that iPhone SE camera does not have software night mode. I call it software, not because the processing is done on the finished image, but because it is possible to make the stabilizer work programmatically to make the camera work at a faster shutter speed and stick it to it. It is unlikely that the second-generation iPhone SE has features that do not allow such functionality to be implemented. Most likely, the difference in equipment arises from the fact that you just need to somehow explain the difference in the cost of two smartphones with excellent cameras. Of course, there are enough differences without this, but the cameras should still be somewhat different, except for two extra lenses.
