Cyberpunk 2077 recently updated to version 2.0, and ElAnalistaDeBits took the time to make a video comparison between the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game to understand the technical differences between the three platforms. The video is 20 minutes long and provides an opportunity to evaluate how CD Projekt RED has improved the game.

New features in version 2.0 of Cyberpunk 2077 significantly improve the visual experience of CD Projekt RED’s game, although the most relevant in this regard is the Ray Tracing Overdrive feature, which is missing on consoles.

Thus, if you can enjoy this technology on a PC, at least if you have an RTX Series 40, then on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S the image remains almost the same as always.

Specifically, on consoles, Cyberpunk 2077 offers two different graphics modes: one uses ray tracing only for shadows and runs at 1440p and 30 fps, the other does not use ray tracing and runs at dynamic 1800p and 60 fps, the values of which on the Series S are reduced and completely exclude ray tracing.

In terms of visual quality, the Xbox Series S boasts a slightly higher average resolution than the PS5, and in terms of loading speeds, Sony’s console is ahead of Microsoft’s, which is very similar to the PC version.
