Comparing Samsung Galaxy S24 Processors: Exynos vs Snapdragon Performance and Benchmarks

European versions of phones Samsung Galaxy S24 a S24 Plus they have a 10-core processor Samsung Exynos 2400, while the Ultra version gets the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy (in other countries, all versions may have Snapdragon). Some people resent this, because Exynos processors are usually slightly less powerful or more demanding, or both at the same time. But as it seems, the new 10 core is not bad at all. Tests have appeared on the Internet in the Solar Bay Stress Test benchmark, which shows the progress of performance. This is because it usually decreases due to heating of the processor and subsequent throttling (restriction of performance). And it was Samsung that came out better in the test.

The advantage of Exynos was, for example, a higher maximum performance of 8905 versus 8249 points (+ 8%), which is surprising, considering that Snapdragon has higher clocks for all cores, including the most powerful ones. On the other hand, it is only an 8-core processor, while the Exynos is 10-core. The big difference was in the minimum performance, where the Exynos fell to 64.6% of the maximum (5755 points), while the Snapdragon fell to only 48.3% of the already lower maximum (that is, only 3984 points). This means that Snapdragon’s worst result was 30% lower than Exynos. It is also interesting for the reason that Samsung has significantly improved the cooling of the Galaxy S24 Ultra with Snapdragon, so it should suffer less from reduced performance. The question is how Exynos will perform in further tests and whether it will confirm its primacy or not.
