PrahaIN.cz reported a week ago from a trip to Sněžka. We stated that we were surprised by the low number of tourists. Of the meals, we could rate Luční bouda the most, where we opted for soup and cake. No big deal, we commented.
The soup cost 95 crowns, the cake was 50. We didn’t have to push through the crowds even at this famous hut, there were few people.
Several readers reacted to the mentioned text. One of them wondered why we were so concerned with adult-only awards. He informed us about their family trip to Špindlerův Mlýn. They went to where the bedekras recommended their visit.
Specifically, it was a restaurant in the Bedřiška hotel. According to him, the problem was “absolutely nothing”. The only thing that surprised them were the prices for two (children’s) portions for thirteen-year-old sons. Salmon with porridge cost almost 600 crowns.
“I guess I was just like you. I didn’t deal with children’s meals at all, I mean in terms of price. When I paid, my smile froze, I couldn’t get it out of my head for a long time,” he told PrahaIN.cz.
The family was from Prague, by the way. He takes trips regularly. But she said she had never seen such a high price for children’s meals.

The editors therefore also looked at other places in the popular winter destination. The selection is wide, prices vary significantly. Probably the cheapest meal for the little ones is offered by the Diana hotel there. A fried chicken steak, chicken breast in butter, fish fingers and fries or beef tenderloin with a dumpling costs 125 crowns.
The tourist has a wide choice
The Lebeda restaurant was slightly more expensive. It offers three meals for children. Penne with tomato sauce costs 149 crowns, turkey cutlets with mashed potatoes are 165 crowns, and tenderloin with dumplings is 195 crowns.
The famous restaurant Bakchus is in a similar situation: they have a salmon fillet for 188 crowns, pasta with a homemade meat mixture for 146 crowns and speck for 158 crowns. Classic natural breast and potato fries, as stated in the menu, are sold for 146 crowns.
The mentioned restaurant in the Bedřiška hotel is the most expensive in this comparison. Children’s chicken schnitzel costs 179 crowns, gnocchi with chicken meat costs 200 crowns, homemade fritters are offered for 189 crowns, and grilled salmon with vegetables and mash is really 269 crowns. Spaghetti with only tomato sauce costs 169 crowns.
Of course, Špindlerům Mlýn also offers many other options. From the local pizzeria (soups are 95 and pizzas are 230 crowns on average) to the surrounding cottages and sheds (Sedmidolí, Erlebachova, Labská, Medvědí, Moravská and others).
