There is no value in resolving VAT in the States, because no one will buy the card there, and even if they did, they would pay extra for shipping and gain an “advantage” of the year, in addition, hardly applicable guarantees. So it makes sense to take the prices in the states for an approximate comparison of price levels. There is a need to compare the prices of new cards and not some used ones.
I took the results of the HW Unboxed test (see link below) and the prices of the cheapest new cards with the appropriate chips from newegg.com. And the results of the 7600 don’t look bad, although it’s not something that will make you sit on your ass.
If I were to buy a card now, the 7600 looks the best, although the improvement over the 6xxx versions isn’t huge. So it’s not a meaningful improvement for the owner of the previous generation.
To compare fps and usd/fps, I take the average fps from 15 tested games at 1920×1080 resolution. For W/fps, average W/fps is available for only 2 games – Hitman and SpiderMan. For the 7600 I take the recommended price, for the others the lowest price of the card with the appropriate chip from newegg.com.
The Radeon 7600 gives an average (avg) fps of 3.5% higher than the 6650xt. The price is $10 (3.8%) higher than the cheapest 6650xt and the price per fps is basically the same (0.35% higher). W consumption per 1 fps is 4% lower than the 6650xt.
I also added the data for the 4060TI. It is 85% more expensive than the 7600, but has a 59% higher average fps. Cost per 1 FPS is 16% higher than the 7600, but has 28% better W/fps efficiency. For those who chase FPS, or play often enough to recoup the difference in energy consumption, the 4060TI may not be such a bad choice. However, I would not buy it, because I consider 60fps at 1920×1080 to be sufficient and I have no problem possibly lowering the quality from ultra to something more reasonable.
