Hanover (dpa) – Kienast Schuhhandels GmbH & Co.KG has recalled pink children’s sandals. The product Bambulini children’s sandals contain leather, the chromium content of which is above the limit value, according to a message published on Tuesday via the official portal food warning.de. The leather comes into contact with the skin. The chromium VI content in the leather determined during a control would be above the limit value of 3 milligrams per kilogram. Chromium VI has a sensitizing effect on skin contact and can cause allergic reactions. Kienast named the Italian company IMAC as the manufacturer. The article number is 130-13.
According to food warning.de, the shoes were sold in almost all federal states: In Bavaria, Berlin, Bremen, Hesse, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Schleswig-Holstein and Thuringia.
