Wearing a mask in business: why?
The wearing of a mask in business was decided by the Government following the opinion delivered by the High Council of Public Health (HCSP) recommending the wearing of a mask in closed collective places.
The objective of this measure is avoid a rebound in the epidemic by protecting the health of everyone in their workplace, but also of his relatives once back home.
In what situations is the wearing of a mask systematic?
In your company, wearing a mask becomes systematic in closed places bringing together several people.
The following places are particularly affected by the wearing of the systematic mask:
- open space
- meeting room
- circulation space
- place of collective catering
- locker room, etc.
Are there any exemptions from wearing a systematic mask in a company?
Several scenarios can lead to a relaxation of the systematic wearing of the mask in business.
An employee is alone in his office: should he wear a mask?
Employees with individual office are not required to wear a mask when alone.
Is wearing a mask necessarily for outdoor work?
If outdoor work leads to a regrouping and that it is impossible to respect a distance of at least 2 meters between each employee, wearing a mask is necessary.
Is the wearing of a mask systematic in the workshop?
Employees working in workshops and required to carry out more intense physical efforts than average may be exempt from wearing a mask if:
- the ventilation and aeration conditions comply with regulations
- the number of people in the work area is limited and they are spaced at least 2 meters apart
- all employees wear a protective visor.
Can we provide for flexibility in shared offices?
No ! In the shared offices and the open space, the wearing a mask is systematic throughout the day.
Should we accompany the wearing of a mask with other preventive measures?
Yes ! Wearing a mask must be associated with:
- at respect of a physical distance of at least 1 meter between employees
- to one regular hand hygiene
- at cleaning, aeration and ventilation of premises
- to the implementation of a prevention policy and of people flow management.
