Company Lauritzen participant Tone Damli reveals that she has developed social anxiety

It was as far back as 2005, 17 years old, that Tone Damli (33) became known to the Norwegian people through his participation in the TV 2 program «Idol». There she came on second place, only beaten by Jorun Stiansen (38).

16 years have passed, and Damli is still a well-known name in the music industry and among the Norwegian people. Now she also participates in what has become the biggest reality carrier on TV 2, namely «Kompani Lauritzen».

– Needs security

– How would you sum up your life in the spotlight, Tone?

– I have lived half my life in this “light”, and have gradually realized that it does not just mean ups and downs. It teaches one in a way to live with, even if it is terribly awkward when the negative is on. But I think it has still gone and is going very well. And I’m still very happy that I get to do what I do, she tells See and Hear.

For it is far more than just music that has received attention in Damli’s life, although much has also been of the positive kind. She has been accused of play on body and sexexposed to malicious rumorsmens her love life almost been “gossip” from day one.

– In a way, it has made me quite strong. But at the same time, I have social anxiety in a way. And that’s not good. I’m still outgoing, that is, but I no longer thrive at big parties, then I rather want to stand in a corner with people I love. I feel that I need security around me.

She continues:

– You get older too, and more aware of the surroundings. I quickly think of consequences and get a little scared.

– Exhausting

To Se og Hør, she emphasizes that it is still the many ups and downs that are strongest in her memory when she thinks back on everything she has been through.

– What is so fun about this industry is that new, exciting things are constantly emerging, which also require you to make big choices. There is no guarantee that something will be a success, so you have to follow the gut feeling all the way and take chances. It’s fun, but also very scary.

– So what is the biggest upturn you want to say?

– It must probably be “Idol” in 2005. Of course I must say, because that was where it all started. To be able to make my first album “Bliss”, which sold for gold, is also something that is strongly remembered.

The 33-year-old also highlights “Melodi Grand Prix” in 2009 when she participated with the song “Butterflies” – and ended in an impressive second place behind Alexander Rybak’s legendary «Fairytale».

– This song put on a certain momentum in his career. And from there it has really gone from strength to strength. And then I became a mother in 2014, which is of course the biggest highlight.

– And what has been the worst?

– The worst thing is the criticism, and that everyone feels the right to think either one or the other. To “have” to satisfy everyone, it is an impossible hunt and quite tiring. I have realized that it does not work, so I have to be happy for all those who like what I do and look forward to it.

Think those over 70 are the worst

The “Kompani Lauritzen” participant makes no secret of the fact that over the years she has had to endure slang remarks that have hit her hard.

– I have received so many negative comments, and at some point I have closed down comment fields and such. That’s what’s nice about getting older and turning 30 – that my followers are growing in step with me in that age. They also become wiser and more aware.

The worst are most often women who have turned 70, she believes.

– Because in that age group, there are many who have not learned online knowledge. I’m certainly not talking about everyone, but there are some anger tags out there that just sit and hammer on the keyboard. They should have had a lesson. Nowadays, fortunately, my comment field is quite nice, but it’s probably mostly about me not provoking so many anymore, the artist says.

– Just over

Over time, and with the ever-increasing experience, she has managed to push the negative vibes farther and farther away.

– But something goes deeper than anything else. So it’s not like I’m immune to it. It only takes a little more for me to take it to heart. Because I have other things in my life that are much more important than this, says Damli, who aims for the family – cohabitant Markus Foss (38) and children Billie (8) and Marlon (1).

The “Kompani Lauritzen” participant tells about a rumor that was spread on Instagram several years ago and which is the very worst rumor she has heard about herself. See and Hear chooses not to reproduce the malicious rumor that was conveyed out of consideration for Damli and her family.

Men:

– I can tolerate a lot of criticism and that people say ugly things about me, but never, never mention my children! There really is a limit. At that time, I did nothing but report the account and block. There are some nasty people out there. It was really good, and something I will not forget, she says to See and Hear.

On Saturday, it was Espen PA Lervaag (44) who had to leave «Kompani Lauritzen». Next Saturday, a new participant must leave the camp.
