Company hands over 15,000 euros to two clubs

Charitable projects and social causes are very important to Craemer. A donation from Family Day has now been handed over.

Herzebrock-Clarholz (gl) – Craemer GmbH for metal forming, plastics processing and tool making is supporting the local Herzebrock-Clarholz hospice group with a donation of 5,000 euros. A further 10,000 euros will go to the international aid organization Doctors Without Borders.

Meeting on Brocker Street

Representatives of the two donation recipients recently accepted a symbolic check at the family business’s premises at Brocker Straße 1 in Herzebrock-Clarholz.

According to the company, the total amount of 15,000 euros came from the sale of a raffle ticket (one euro per ticket) at the recent Craemer Family Day – generously topped up by the management. At the end of August, 2,750 employees and their closest relatives came to the company premises during the day and around 1,000 in the evening for the celebration.

“Great event”

“It was an unforgettable, great event,” said Craemer managing director Siegbert Geldner, “but in addition to games and fun, we want to make a contribution again in 2024 to help people who are not doing so well.”

The hospice group will still decide on the specific use of the donation amount. The Doctors Without Borders association also keeps the use of the funds open. Elisabeth Lipsewers, nurse and project worker at Doctors Without Borders, and Monika Brinkmann, chairwoman of the Herzebrock-Clarholz hospice group, also expressed their thanks on behalf of patients and their relatives.

Donations make work possible

Both women emphasized: “It is very fortunate that we have supporters like Craemer at our side. Without such donors our work would not be possible.”

In the two years 2019 and 2015, the Craemer management had already rounded up the raffle proceeds from the family day to a five-figure sum and donated them. In addition to Doctors Without Borders, the donations went to local kindergartens and refugee integration in the Herzebrock-Clarholz community.
