“We are proud that the project partners of the European project EU-SCORES chose the Blue Accelerator as the location for the solar panel park”. The EU-SCORES project aims to focus in the coming years on affordable, hybrid offshore energy parks across Europe by 2025.
Furthermore, from 2022, the location of the Blue Accelerator will also be used by the consortium of MPVAquaproject, Tractebel, DEME, Jan De Nul Group, Soltech and UGent. They test their prototype of specially developed solar panel structures in a maritime environment. If the project is successful, the first commercial solar park at sea is expected within five to ten years.
