NEW YORK – New York City held a job fair on Wednesday with thousands of people coming to City Hall hoping to find jobs. An event organized by Congressman Adriano Espaillat.
Dozens of organizations from both the private and public sectors participated in the fair. It is obvious here, judging by the long line, that there is a great demand for employment from those who want to enter the workforce or who just want to find a better job, but luckily a according to Congress Espaillat the employment offer is also extensive.
“At this job fair there are often cases where employers offer jobs to people there. In other cases, they take your resume and resume and call you later for an interview,” the contact said.
Many city agencies are looking for employees, including the Police Department.
“Different parts of the Police Department accept people of different qualities. They are not only police officers, they can be administrators,” said a spokesman.
