Industry 4.0 Companies join forces to produce fuel cells
What: Omron
relevant suppliers
Omron, Dassault Systèmes and VAF rely on digital twins to make production more flexible and sustainable.
Automation company Omron has partnered with Dassault Systèmes and VAF GmbH to advance fuel cell development. According to a statement, the companies want to focus primarily on the mobility sector.
“In the future, manufacturing will increasingly focus on smoother IT-OT integration, i.e. the connection between informationtechnology and operational control hardware. To connect these two levels, Omron works with partners such as Dassault and VAF, who stand out for their IT and integration know-how,” says Henry Claussnitzer, Business Engagement Manager Automotive EMEA at Omron.
Reduce time to market
Dassault’s 3D experience platform, with which the companies have developed a robot-supported cell stacker for assembling fuel cell stacks, should help with this. With a digital twin created in this way, manufacturing processes can be performed virtually. Companies can plan and develop better, which supports, for example, prototyping.
