For the second consecutive year, these nine companies come together to contribute against hunger in the country, through the Collective Impact for Food campaign.
“For Walmart Mexico and Central America it is vitally important to support food bank projects in the region, adding actions to eradicate malnutrition in our countries. We thank our suppliers for contributing to this cause and for participating in the second edition of the Collective Impact for Food ”, expressed Luis Arturo Ramírez, coordinator of corporate affairs for Walmart in Guatemala.

Among the suppliers that were part of this initiative are Killios, Delisoy, Alimentos Prosalud, Grupo Capsa, Grupo Lala, Bimbo, Essity and Kellogs
These companies donated more than 13,300 kilos of products, which will be distributed in the communities, with the support and distribution of the food bank project, Desarrollo en Movimiento.
Walmart is distinguished by these initiatives, and they reaffirm its mission to contribute to improving the quality of life of Central American families. Last year, this company donated USD $ 9.3 million in food to families affected by poverty, natural disasters and the pandemic, benefiting more than 1.2 million people.
“Thanks to Walmart and its suppliers, Desarrollo en Movimiento will be able to support more than 20,000 beneficiaries, including boys, girls, the elderly and families in extreme poverty, to continue working towards the goal of reducing malnutrition rates in Guatemala” said Juan Pablo Ruano, director of Desarrollo en Movimiento.
