Kraillinger industrial estate KIM celebrates 25th anniversary with open day
On Sunday, September 15th, an open day will take place in the Kraillinger KIM industrial estate from 11:00 a.m. Under the motto “25 years of KIM: creative – innovative – courageous”, the KIM eV business association, in cooperation with the municipality of Krailling, wants to celebrate the success story of the industrial estate and invites not only the people of Krailling, but also the entire Würmtal.
Gigantic program
A total of 20 companies will open their doors and provide up-close information on energy topics, job and training opportunities, as well as products and applications. The Bavarian Bone Marrow Donation Campaign Foundation offers visitors the opportunity to have their blood typed and added to the stem cell donor database.
With a course, visitors can not only learn interesting facts about the KIM companies at the individual stations, but also collect stamps that entitle them to take part in a prize draw with attractive prizes. The start is at the Konrad-Zuse-Bogen. Stamp cards are also available here. There are also numerous children’s activities taking place throughout the site.
In the marquee on the lawn between Konrad-Zuse-Bogen and the footpath on Pentenrieder Straße, there will be a varied program from 12:00 p.m. with interviews about the history of KIM, situations and stories from 25 years, as well as current and future projects. The completed stamp cards will be accepted here.
Big raffle
From 4:30 p.m., after the last company tour, the raffle prizes will be drawn in the marquee. There are an e-scooter, a sound box and a bike backpack to be won for the adult visitors and a Nintendo Switch, a ski bob and a voucher for the Max Arena for the children. The organizers have small consolation prizes ready for the children who did not win any of the three main prizes.
After the raffle, the interesting day will end with live music from the “Würmsee Böhmischen” and a gastronomic offer. Refreshments will be provided both in the marquee and at various locations in the KIM. The event will end at 7 p.m.
The entire KIM commercial area will be closed to cars and bicycles on September 15th (with the exception of Robert-Stirling-Ring, Lise-Meitner-Straße and the access to the limited parking spaces for cars and around 400 bicycle parking spaces). Special trips on line 906 will run between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (once per hour).
Celebration for the whole family
“We have designed our anniversary as a celebration for the whole family and are looking forward to many visitors. More than 150 full-time and voluntary helpers from companies, clubs, the event agencies Business Events & Entertainment, SGW and Sigma Veranstaltungstechnik GmbH, as well as the local administration will be on duty on this day. We are grateful for the great support of the people of Kraillingen and the local administration. Without their commitment, such an event would simply have been impossible,” says Gunter Kadegge, one of the board members of KIM eV, the interest group for KIM companies.
Krailling’s mayor Rudolph Haux is certain: “The open day will once again show in an entertaining way how efficient our Kraillingen innovation mile is. It not only has a national and European impact, but even a global one. For visitors, the open day is an excellent opportunity to find out about the companies in their neighborhood and possibly discover interesting synergies.”
