We already talked about the conceptual Compal Voyager and Compal Envision Lite notebooks with an unusual design. Now introduced another very interesting laptop – Compal Gemini.
The novelty shown applies to gaming-grade laptops. The main feature of the device is an “expandable” screen, which allows you to increase the usable area.
In normal mode, the user is dealing with a display whose diagonal of the working area is 15.6 inches. If necessary, the main section can be lifted up, placing one above the other two screens with a total diagonal of 17.8 inches.
Displays boast frameless performance. However, the band separating them is likely not to appeal to all users.

The lower screen can be used to display auxiliary information in games – chat windows, maps, etc. Thus, the upper section will be fully involved in the gameplay. In addition, the proposed design simplifies the simultaneous work with multiple applications.
It is important to note that the touchpad of Compal Gemini is located not under the keyboard, but to the right of it. This design will not be too convenient for lefties.
One way or another, while the novelty is only a conceptual development.
