Compact! Shares of Sandi Uno and Boy Thohir Become Top Gainers

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Shares of industrial gas company Samator Group PT Aneka Gas Industri Tbk (AGII) and tycoon-owned vehicle sales and logistics issuer TP Rachmat PT Adi Sarana Armada Tbk (ASSA) became the top gainers in session I Thursday (14/4/2022).

Meanwhile, according to data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the Composite Stock Price Index (CSPI) weakened 0.32% to 7,239.77 after successfully rising for two consecutive days. Foreigners still recorded a net purchase of Rp 403.58 billion in the regular market.

Here are the 5 top gainers stocks this afternoon (14/4).

  2. Bintang Samudera Mandiri Lines (BSML), +21.43%, to Rp 1,360/unit. Transaction value IDR 40.4 M

  3. Gozco Plantations (GZCO), +19.59%, to Rp 232/unit. Transaction value IDR 30,9 M

  4. Various Industrial Gases (AGII), +8.33%, to Rp 2,340/unit. Transaction value IDR 50.6 M

  5. Adi Sarana Fleet (ASSA), +8.30%, to Rp. 2,610/unit. Transaction value IDR 95.2 M

According to the data above, WTWI and BSML shares soared 34.59% and 21.43%, respectively.

Below the two, there is a share of GZCO which soared 19.59%. GZCO shares are being ‘idol’ investors. Within a week, this stock jumped 43.21%.

Meanwhile, AGII’s shares rose 8.33% to Rp 2,340/unit. Investors seem to continue to appreciate AGII’s outstanding financial performance over the past year. This can be seen from the performance of AGII shares which jumped 34.10% in a week.

Just so you know, last Monday (11/4), AGII reported that the company recorded an increase in net profit of 111.78% on an annual basis (yoy) to Rp 204.18 billion in 2021, from the previous year of Rp 96.41 billion.

From the top line, AGII’s revenue also grew significantly by 25.16% yoy to Rp 2.74 trillion as of December 31, 2021.

Just so you know, as of March 31, 2022, PT Samator became the majority shareholder of AGII, amounting to 40.54%.

Apart from Samator, investment issuers belonging to Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno and conglomerate Edwin Soeryadjaya, PT Saratoga Investama Sedaya Tbk (SRTG), also entered AGII with a share of 10.00%.

Not to be missed, ASSA shares shot up 8.30%, stung by the news that the boss of the energy company PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (ADRO) Garibaldi ‘Boy’ Thohir who entered the shares of ASSA’s subsidiary in the courier service sector. PT Tri Adi Bersama or AnterAja.

Currently, ASSA’s ownership in AnterAja is diluted from the previous 55% to 49.5%. This happened after Boy Thohir bought 490,413 new shares of AnterAja worth Rp 70.55 billion. This amount makes Boy Thohir the holder of 10% of AnterAja’s shares.

The inclusion of Boy Thohir as an AnterAja shareholder has attracted attention because this figure is the President Commissioner of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) which has just entered the Indonesian capital market.

As a technology company, GOTO is known to have a large ecosystem consisting of Gojek as a logistics and delivery service provider, Tokopedia (e-commerce), and GoTo Financial.

Just so you know, Boy Thohir holds 1,054,287,487 units or 0.09% of the total shares of GOTO.
