In this program we travel to Mexico City to learn through the voice of the artist and cultural manager Víctor Esquivel the artistic space Casa Báanal, a place that cultivates, supports and promotes alternative voices in contemporary art. There we are received by the artist Daniel Lavoie, a Canadian born in Almonte whose work receives the impact of his vital transit: Oakville, Toronto, Berlin, Quito and finally Mexico City, where he currently lives. His project at Casa Báanal has been called ‘Escape and Deconstruction’. In the Apúntatelo Juanra Sanz recommends the exhibition of Remedios Varo at the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City and the graphic novel ‘Sisi. Rebel Empress’ by Giorgia Marras, published on the Sapristi label.
