An upsurge in the coronavirus pandemic has recently been observed in the Comoros. About ten senior executives of the Ministry of Health tested positive in Moheli.
To the Comoros, the new strain of the Covid-19 (from South Africa) circulates and spreads very quickly. This variant has already killed two people on the island of Moheli, and it circulates at an uncontrollable rate among the population.
Sources, relayed by Comoros Info reported that 17 senior officials from the Ministry of Health tested positive for coronavirus. The latter were on a mission to Moheli, and they have already returned to Ngazidja, but the authorities preferred not to disseminate this information.
A resumption of the pandemic of Covid-19 is thus observed in Comoros. Last week, 95 new contaminations were recorded on the island. A worrying situation, because the health authorities are overwhelmed.
