Gesture towards the students to protect their health and also an economic aid towards the families that have to pay the daily price of the masks.
The company Comodon Descanso has decided to donate 40,000 masks for all schoolchildren, vocational students and high school students in the city of Yecla.
The mask delivery ceremony was carried out in the company’s own facilities, where representatives of the Student Parents Associations, directors of various educational centers in the city and the mayor of Education and Infant Schools of the City Council of Yecla, Remedios Lajara.
Lajara, on behalf of the entire student group from Yecla, wanted to thank the Yecla company for this solidarity initiative and also thanked the gesture that it represents for so many families in these times of health and economic crisis in which we live. The manager of the company, Fausto Ortuño, has stressed that they are aware of the extra cost of masks in the shopping cart.
In addition, he explained that the firm has made a notable investment in machinery and equipment in order to diversify your business with the manufacture of masks that they are marketing mainly in Spain. They are products of higher quality than, for example, those that are being manufactured in China.
The town council of the town will be in charge of facilitating the distribution of the masks to all schools and institutes in the town.
Comodon social responsibility
It is not the first action of corporate social responsibility that the Comodon company carries out during this period of pandemic. In this past year, in the heat of the Covid-19 scourge, the company made its facilities available to the Government, being one of the first companies to offer its support and donating more than 1,500 mattresses, to supply the IFEMA fairgrounds, which became a large hospital for coronavirus patients.
In addition, this company has also had the initiative to send mattresses to Spanish hospitals (such as Tomelloso) by giving away units of these.
