COMMUNITY. Dijon, a concrete example on the scale of a metropolis

Last May, François Rebsamen, president of Dijon Métropole, launched construction work on a first production station of hydrogen, backed by the Dijon Nord waste incineration plant. The hydrogen produced will be green. It will be obtained by electrolysis of water using electricity produced by the incinerator and by the photovoltaic farm (43,000 solar panels) inaugurated on 25 November.

This hydrogen production station, which will be commissioned this year, is the first stone of a project which provides for the construction of a second hydrogen production station in the south of the city, near the center of operation and maintenance of DiviaMobilities. Thus, in 2024, the metropolis of Dijon, 255,000 inhabitants, should be equipped with two hydrogen production stations.
