Community cinema recognized in Puerto Cabello

The first Community Short Film Festival “Puerto Cabello I Love You 2022” was held at the Municipal Theater of Puerto Cabello, in the state of Carabobo. The audiovisual work was the winner at the event: “What will I do if I let you go?” of the parish of Goaigoaza and in second place “Without discipline there is no goal” of the parish of Juan José Flores.

In the category of independent short films, the first place went to the production “Once a year from Valencia” and the second place to “Muletaman” for Puerto Cabello.

Special mention, within the community productions, the short film “The return to class after the pandemic” of the parish of Patanemo.

The festival was born with the premise of developing the talent and creativity for the seventh art from the communities of the Cordial City. This edition was attended by young people, children and adults, who received, from the facilitators, indications to produce, record and edit short films lasting two minutes, with contents dedicated to the promotion of human values, in order to provide a cinema for life. and peace.

César Fajardo, producer and creator of this event, commented that the people involved in the design and execution of the festival went through a training path that included the transmission of content, practicing with new tools and innovative platforms (all the short films were recorded and edited with mobile phones) and the post production and diffusion of the productions.

The community short films that participated in this 1st edition of the Short Film Festival were: «Puerto de memorias», «No goal without discipline», «What will I do if I let you go?», «Obnubilation», «The color of a illusion »,« And what happened? »,« Harassment from beyond »,« Back to school after the pandemic »,« The silly robbery »and« Reach out and save me ».
