Community Center’s Week of Eating Well: A Culinary Dive with Different Themes Every Day

Friday at the community center took place the last meal of the week of eating well which closed the weekly meal cycle. Indeed this week, the social life development department of the municipality’s CCAS, in partnership with neighborhood centers, organized the Week of Eating Well. This event was offered to residents in neighborhood centers across the city. Around twenty people from Martinère came to get together for a culinary and sensory dive with a different culinary theme every day.

The cycle began at the Paul-Bert house with a vegetarian meal. Tuesday, the Louis-Aragon house welcomed Pascal and Boris, the dynamic and friendly hosts of the SDVS for a meal with autumn flavors around mushrooms and other food products of this season. On Wednesday, they offered Romain-Rolland an express buffet. Thursday, it was the turn of the Péri house to welcome the Martinérois who wanted to discover the flavors of the world and Friday at Fernand-Texier, the theme was a cuisine, a country and at 2:30 p.m. around a hundred coffee of participants of the week met to take part in a quiz on the different themes of the week.

At the same time, the SDVS continues the Aliment’action thematic workshops throughout the year, open only to retirees, to raise awareness among seniors about adapting their diet to their age to combat malnutrition and nutritional deficiencies.
