With a new online course offered by the UDGVirtual CFPD, starting on August 22
That the participants learn to produce journalistic investigations on science, health and environment topics that describe the problems and their potential solutions, is the objective of the new online course that the Training Center in Digital Journalismof UDGVirtual.
In the first unit of Course Journalism of solutions for health and environment issuesparticipants will learn about the characteristics of solutions journalism (guidedog) and contrast it with traditional vigilante or accountability journalism (watchdog).
In the second unit they will be able to identify the particularities and the current context of journalism specialized in coverage of science, health and the environment, while in the third unit they will review how to create journalistic narratives on science, health and environment issues in digital environments.
In the last module, participants will be able to project an investigation from solutions journalism through classic journalism techniques and digital tools for content development.
The course will be taught by Iván Carrillo, journalist editor and TV host specialized in these issues. He is co-founder and co-director of Histories without borders and of In common, Knowledge, a living voice and owner of the Ibero-American Scientific and Cultural Newscast (NCC), which is broadcast in 20 countries and three languages, are some of his innumerable professional activities.
Active journalists and communicators can participate in this course, as well as students in the last semesters of communication or journalism careers. Because they are dictated online, the courses do not have a pre-established schedule, they can be accessed at the most convenient time; to accredit it, it is only necessary to comply with the delivery of the activities in a timely manner and on the dates established by the advisor.
The purpose of the UDGVirtual Training Center for Digital Journalism (CFPD) is to promote the professionalization and training of journalists and communicators.
