Two years ago there was already a discussion about the flag. The Pukkelpop organization then decided, during the last edition in 2019, to remove all black and yellow Flemish flags from the festival site. That decision came after a comment by Kaoutar Oulichki, the chairman of the Young Socialists, about the presence of such flags on the campsite. “The so-called collaboration flag does not belong here,” the organization responded in a response.
