“Common sense has prevailed” – Il Tempo

After the decision of the Minister of Transport Matteo Salvini to reduce the strike called for Monday 27 November from 24 to just 4 hours, with the aim of siding with the citizens, the grassroots unions have chosen to move the mobilization to 15 December. This is what was announced by ADL Cobas – Cobas Private Work – SGB – CUB Trasporti – Usb Private Work. The unions have defined “the precept by the Minister of Transport Salvini of the 24-hour national TPL strike, regularly called by the acronyms of the basic unions, highly representative in the sector, anything but unexpected. This, however, does not take away the gravity of what Salvini decided”, they added.

Salvini still precepts: Only 4 hours of strike. I protect citizens

The deputy prime minister, for his part, expressed full satisfaction with the postponement of the November 27 strike announced by some of the promoters. The mobilization, initially scheduled for Monday and lasting 24 hours, was subject to the precept of the MIT, which reduced the time for folding arms to just 4 hours, so much so that some of the unions involved officially postponed the initiative until December. “Common sense prevailed and I am satisfied to have protected millions of citizens who must see their possibility of movement guaranteed, without canceling the sacrosanct right to strike”. In this sense, also in light of what emerged from the discussion table organized yesterday at the MIT with the acronyms that proclaimed the agitation, Salvini hopes that “the next few weeks can serve to promote a calm discussion between companies and workers’ representatives” .
