And the more skilled the old man is with the computer, the worse it is, because then he can recognize the differences and they confuse him. My great-grandparents have laptops, either with Win10 or 11, I control everything without a problem, and the last problem I helped with like this was replacing the old slow disk with a new one, and it’s been about a year. The updates are done by themselves, you don’t have to mess with the terminal for every fart, and even an inquisitive neighbor can help you with a problem. If the computer can’t even run Windows and its most basic tasks, it’s simply time to change hardware. And I still wonder what the hell that moron is doing to put malware on his computer.
And don’t take it as an attack on Linux, I definitely don’t like that system, but I understand and appreciate some of its advantages, but I really can’t stand it when someone forces it on someone no matter what. I’ve met a lot of people like that and I’m allergic to them.
