Wednesday, March 1, 6 p.m. The great sporting challenge of the 417th promotion of the Montluçon (Allier) gendarmerie school begins. The hundred or so students take turns on the gym’s treadmills, rowing machines and bicycles. With the objective of accumulating, in 24 hours, at least 4,170 km for the association Colossus with feet of clay, an association fighting against sexual violence in the world of sport.

A largely successful challenge since the students, but also the managers and staff of the establishment, managed to reach 4,259 km.

A figure welcomed by Captain Florent Misse and Warrant Officer Saad Ennajda. “It’s a great effort! The students mobilized for 24 hours non-stop. Even at night, there were always people,” said Warrant Officer Ennajda.

And thanks to these accumulated kilometers and a raffle organized in parallel (with around fifty prizes), it is several thousand euros that the 417th class hopes to donate to the Colossus with feet of clay. [une remise de chèque à l’association sera organisée le 29 mars, NDLR].

“This association is doing more than remarkable work and is growing. She kicked the anthill. Each promotion has a social challenge to complete. We are therefore happy to be able to help this association,” concludes Warrant Officer Saad Ennajda.

Lots offered or autographed. The Gendarmerie School was able to count on the participation of various top athletes for its raffle. Among them: cyclist Rémi Cavagna, players from ASM Clermont and Perpignan, those from Clermont Foot, or even pole vaulters Renaud Lavillenie and Armand Duplantis.
