Commission I DPR RI held a working meeting to discuss TNI security in the 2024 elections today with TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono. During the meeting, Deputy Chair of Commission I DPR PDIP Fraction Utut Adianto highlighted a copy of Admiral Yudo’s presentation when delivering his directions to TNI personnel regarding neutrality.
Utut held up a copy of Yudo’s display which showed a display design with a number of colors. He mentioned that there was no red in the exposure copy.
“Mr. stated in the fourth presentation, the TNI remains neutral. If the truth is that the color is blue, that doesn’t mean that it is siding with Mr. Giono (Deputy Chairman of Commission I DPR Gerindra Sugiono Fraction), Mr. Giono’s jacket is blue. This is just the color of truth. The truth is that there is no red either, it is “brown. There’s no yellow, there’s no orange,” said Utut in a joint DPR Commission I working meeting Admiral Yudo at the MPR/DPR/DPD RI building, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (7/11/2023).
“Ladies and gentlemen, from this statement, what is the measuring tool. From this statement, we must have a measuring tool so that the request (budget) of Rp. 780 billion is appropriate for us to spend,” he continued.
Utut offended the highest leader of the TNI, namely the president. Utut asked whether Admiral Yudo would act against the president if he was given an order that was against the law.
“The TNI has always been neutral. TNI Commander who’s the boss? President. The President as supreme commander said A, can you refuse if the order is against the law? Mr Army Chief of Staff has done it written (from the President to the DPR) will be, according to what I heard, he will be a candidate for commander in chief,” said Utut.
“You also have to train, you will be a commander in times of turbulence. These days are not ordinary days, there are many political anomalies,” he continued.
