Commission B DPRD DKI Jakarta to Summon Board of Directors of PT Taman Impian Jaya Ancol over Stalled Project Issues

Commission B DPRD DKI Jakarta will summon the board of directors of PT Taman Impian Jaya Ancol next week. The summons agenda to clarify project issues stalled to the point of internal dualism.

“We will summon them at a routine meeting because we will start again working meetings with partners other than SKPD, including BUMD,” said Chairman of Commission B DPRD DKI Jakarta Ismail to journalists, Friday (9/6/2023).

“Next week we will try to take advantage of one or two days of work meetings inviting partners but we are currently making this lead Where is the priority first, for next week,” he continued.

One thing that was clarified was news about the ABC Mall development project which had stalled due to internal conflicts. Ismail views that several ongoing projects in Ancol have stalled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

At that time, Ancol tried not to carry out mass layoffs of its employees. In addition, the reshuffle of the board of directors over the past few years is certainly another factor.

“When it comes to project development, how many projects in Ancol are stalled, there are many factors. The first project was announced when there was COVID, so financially it was not a priority to complete because we know Ancol is trying to survive not to do many layoffs because it is in the entertainment industry, so automation is not implemented. “Even if there is a financial factor, because there are some there is a process of replacing up to two to three times, the last being the main director and his staff. This is also one of the factors that becomes a factor,” he explained.

Even so, until now he has not received clear information regarding the issue that has hit one of DKI Jakarta’s BUMDs. But what is certain, the PKS politician believes that this momentum should be used by the DKI Pemprov to improve.

“I think it’s time for BP BUMD to make improvements and their functions so that when the financial aspect is no longer a problem, it’s hampered by internal problems, so we’ll see how far BP BUMD can improve it. Because there will be more personnel placement in BUMD, besides the governor too BP BUMD,” he said.
