The bitter relegation and the following “lap of honor” in the 1st class left its mark on SV Gablitz. Rather, the club has learned its lessons – the previous transfer activities underline that the SVG does not want to leave anything to chance in the regional league.
Florian Gowin is to become the new defense chief. Bernhard Fila, who lives in neighboring Purkersdorf, is also planned for the defensive area and Ulvi Özdemir will work the flank. All the newcomers have one thing in common: they are seasoned kickers who have experience from higher divisions and have the qualities to take on a leadership role with the area league returnees. In Fila’s vita there are even 44 professional games in the 2nd league. The Gablitzer are aware that there is no “puppy protection” for climbers in the area league and that the troop is present from the first round. The newcomers and their routine played an important role in this.
