The second half of the regional league began with a big surprise. Table leader Hohenau lost at the penultimate in Tulln and let the competition get closer. The circumstances were also miserable: key player Manuel Kegler missed the game with a fever, coach Rudolf Bily had to change three times before the break. A look at the bench quickly showed that the squad is still very thin.
There isn’t much time to lick the wounds, on Saturday it’s against Prottes. The Kroboth-Elf is probably one of the most unpleasant opponents at the moment, likes the role of the outsider, but can suddenly be at the forefront themselves. The quality is there, the team structure is strong.
Bily criticized the latter enormously in Tulln. He knows full well that game two has to be different. Otherwise it can quickly become uncomfortable in Hohenau.
