On November 2, the commemorative acts of the Day of the Fallen for Spain took place in the military pantheons of the cemeteries of A Coruña, Santiago de Compostela and Ferrol.
In A Coruña, General Juan Francisco Arrazola Martínez, Head of the Maneuver Support Command (MAM) and Institutional Representative of the Armed Forces (RIFAS) in Galicia, presided over the act that took place in the San Amaro Municipal Cemetery. After the offering of a crown in memory of the military personnel buried in the aforementioned pantheon, Father José González recited a response and the Toque de Oración was interpreted. Immediately afterwards, a bouquet of flowers was deposited in the Cross of the Forgotten, accompanied by a brief response by the chaplain and, finally, a group from the Music Unit of the MAM Headquarters performed a piece of music.
In Santiago de Compostela, in the Municipal Cemetery of Boisaca and presided over by Colonel José Manuel Siaba Portela, Military Commander of A Coruña, a wreath was offered in memory of the military personnel buried there, accompanied by a response from the Military Chaplain, the Toque de Prayer and, finally, the interpretation of a piece of music by another group from the Music Unit of the MAM Headquarters.
In Ferrol, within the scope of the event organized by the Navy, the events to commemorate the Day of the fallen for Spain took place in which the representation of the Army was carried out by Colonel Carlos Boado Quijano, Director of the Center for History and Northwestern Military Culture.
