This is the fourth day of the “Itaewon disaster”.
Flowers were held at Itaewon station to commemorate the victims.
There is a reporter on the spot
Reporter Hyein Jeong, are there still many mourners coming?

Yes, I’m at Exit 1 of Itaewon Station, near the crash site.
It is still early, so not many mourners have visited this place.
The works of art expressing condolences to the victims are piled up as if surrounding the exit of a subway station.
Reminder maps with remembrance words are posted everywhere and citizens have expressed their pity too.

“A lot has happened to my peers and I thought about how difficult the situation must have been at that moment …”

“I got home five minutes before the accident. I keep thinking about it. I came here because the face came to mind.”
Even late at night, citizens gathered around Itaewon station to express their condolences.
India was full of bunches of chrysanthemums and snacks like sweets and cakes that the victims could have loved.
Citizens also wrote commemorative messages like “It’s not your fault” and “It’s so disappointing and heartbreaking.”
They were seen silently joining hands or wiping tears with their collars.
