Commemorating World AIDS Day, Magelang City Government Holds Joint Gymnastics

TRIBUNJOGJA.COM, MAGELANG CITY – In commemoration of World AIDS Day every December 1, the City Government (Magelang) performs joint exercises in the backyard of the Magelang Mayor’s office, Friday (10/12/2021).

The morning exercise was attended by all employees and officials in the Magelang City Government, PMI Magelang City, KPA Magelang City, Magelang City PPK Mobilization Team, Residents Concerned with AIDS and Kaliandra, a foundation that is active in the prevention and control of HIV disease.

“This World AIDS Day is a moment where we are reminded that this disease is multidimensional in nature, because of an unhealthy lifestyle. But don’t give up hope. Same with life, we must not give up. Magelang City must not be satisfied with the current conditions. Today must be better than yesterday,” said the Mayor of Magelang, dr. Muchamad Nur Aziz, Friday (10/12/2021).

In this morning’s gymnastics, he continued, not only to maintain health, but also to work together to serve the community.

Moreover, Magelang City has entered PPKM level 1 and this is the result of the hard work of all elements of society. This collaboration must be fostered.

“We (all) must remain enthusiastic. Even though there is a lot of workload, but if we are together and united, God willing, we can face problems. Magelang City can PPKM level 1 also thanks to our togetherness and God’s grace,” he explained.

On the same occasion, socialization about prevention was also held HIV / AIDS and test HIV / AIDS for gymnastics participants by the Magelang City Health Office in collaboration with Magelang City KPA. (ndg)
