This is an important momentum for the global struggle to end the stigma related to HIV throughout the world. It is an opportunity to honor those who have died, and a call to commit to continuing to work when AIDS is no longer a threat to public health.
In line with the spirit of community sports, the commemoration of World AIDS Day in the District. Bojonegoro is held at the same time as car free day 10/12/2023. Various communities/organizations concerned about AIDS, the public, pupils and university students actively participated. Various activities such as blood donation, walking, gymnastics and performing arts combine into one symbol of the red ribbon.
Deputy Chairman of the District AIDS Control Commission. Bojonegoro Nurul Azizah said, with the spirit of the theme “Moving Together with the Community to End AIDS in 2030” it is hoped that it can increase the role of the community as a key in preventing HIV AIDS as well as in concrete efforts to achieve an end to AIDS by 2030.
He said, currently we need a simple but comprehensive strategy to bind commitments, monitor body immunity, as well as a spirit of cross-sector coordination in efforts to tackle HIV AIDS. The target in 2030 is “zero new cases, zero deaths due to AIDS, and zero discrimination,” explained Nurul.
Greeting all the communities present, Acting Regent of Bojonegoro Adriyanto said that commemoration of AIDS Day has a deep meaning, namely “we must always maintain our health and adopt a healthy lifestyle”. This is our joint effort to stay healthy. Adriyanto appreciated all the ranks/management of the AIDS Control Commission, Forkopimda, organizations, communities and the public who have actively participated in AIDS control, especially in the District.
