Fajar.co.id, Jakarta – Coinciding with National MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) Day which falls on Thursday (12/08), BRI President Director Sunarso invites MSME players to become the driving force behind the momentum of the national economic revival.
Sunarso revealed, synergy with MSMEs is the key so that Indonesia can quickly rise. The Covid-19 pandemic has presented a formidable challenge to MSMEs.
“Therefore, let’s collaborate and work together to make Indonesian MSMEs able to overcome various challenges, both caused by the pandemic, and other challenges. So that in the future MSMEs will not only be able to grow but also be more resilient so that they can grow sustainably,” he added.
BRI itself has made various efforts to save MSMEs during the pandemic. Among them are restructuring loans affected by COVID with a value of Rp. 175.16 trillion until the end of June 2021. In addition, until the end of June 2021 BRI also continues to disburse loans to the MSME segment with a nominal value of Rp. 749 trillion, equivalent to 80.62 percent. total BRI credit.
“The portion of BRI’s MSME loans will continue to be increased and BRI targets this figure to reach 85 percent by 2025,” he said.
BRI as a bank that has a business focus on the MSME segment has supported programs to develop MSMEs. Loan distribution in BRI’s MSME segment has reached Rp. 749 trillion or 80.62% of BRI’s total loan portfolio.
