Quoted from detikJatim, Monday (4/18/2022), one of the most memorable things about Jailani’s honesty is his story when he ticketed his own wife. It proves that Jailani really has integrity and honesty. Jailani does not indiscriminately while on duty.
The incident occurred between 2013/2014 ago. At that time, Jailani was on duty at Jalan Attorney General Suprapto who was implementing a car free day (CFD). Because it’s CFD, of course there should be no motorized vehicles that pass. However, his own wife passed by.
At that time his wife came home from shopping from Simpang Lima Sukorame on a motorcycle. His wife had escaped the guard of her Polantas colleagues who served in the alley around Jalan Attorney General.
His wife continued the journey with her child on a motorbike through SMP 1 until finally only Jailani’s wife passed among the many people who were CFD.
“I happened to be on duty there, my wife came in. I called her, I followed up on the spot. Because there are already rules. I’m sorry, maybe my wife didn’t know there was a car free day (CFD). Sunday,” said Jailani to detikJatim, Tuesday (15/3/2022).
