jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The move by TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, who suddenly delivered a public statement on Saturday (14/11) night about national unity and stability, was considered unusual. The reason is, it creates the impression as if the country is in a precarious situation.
LESPERSSI military observer Beni Sukadis said the press conference ahead of midnight raised a big question mark.
“For me it is quite surprising and has a big question mark about this converging menu,” said Beni when contacted by JPNN.com, Sunday (15/11).
He said that currently Indonesia’s political situation is stable. There is no crisis that needs to be handled by the TNI.
According to him, all existing problems can still be handled by the police.
“I haven’t seen any indications that show a precarious situation, meaning that the TNI is also solid internally,” said Beni.
As reported, TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto suddenly gave a statement regarding the importance of unity and integrity in order to maintain national stability, at Subden Denma TNI Headquarters, Jl. Merdeka Barat, Central Jakarta, Saturday (14/11) night.
Apart from his unusual timing, in issuing statements, Panglima Hadi was also accompanied or guarded by important generals within the TNI.
