National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo inaugurated the new Papua Police Headquarters. TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono attended the inauguration accompanied by the TNI Chiefs of Staff.
The TNI Chiefs of Staff accompanying Yudo were the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy (KSAL), Admiral Muhammad Ali, the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army (KSAD), General Dudung Abdurachman, and Chief Indonesian Air Force Staff. Indonesian Air Force (KSAU) TNI Field Marshal Fadjar Prasetyo. National Police Chief General Sigit said that his arrival with the Commander-in-Chief and the three TNI Chiefs of Staff was a form of TNI and Polri’s love for Papua.
“Today we are with the Commander-in-Chief and three Chiefs of Staff and all staff, so today in the Papua region there are many four stars, three stars, two stars. Obviously this is part of our commitment to make the Indonesian National Police truly he loves the land and the people of Papua,” the general said Listyo Sigit Prabowo, in its statement, Sunday (8/1/2023).
Sigit then said that the inauguration of Mako Polda Papua was a bit special because the TNI Commander was also present.
“This may be due to Mr. Kapolda, all the members are praying in an extraordinary way, so today the Papuan Police specifically inaugurated the Commander-in-Chief, Mr. Kapolri, added and witnessed by three Chiefs of Staff. It is extraordinary. He is here there is no Mr. Kapolda anywhere else. So this is a gift for all members and for all Papuans, of course at Christmas and New Year,” said Sigit to applause.
Sigit said that this is clear proof that the synergy and solidity of TNI-Polri are getting stronger day by day. She hopes that the ranks of the Papuan Police from top to bottom can continue to maintain and strengthen the synergy and solidity of the TNI-Polri.

“Because if security stability can work well, political stability can work well, then people’s welfare, economic growth, investment, everything will work safely and they are also confident because TNI-Polri and the people are all in solid conditions to guard and maintain what both central and regional political agendas are,” Sigit said.
In addition, Sigit requested that the Papua regional police chief participate in encouraging new economic growth for the Papuan people. Furthermore, according to him, the location of the new Polda is in a strategic position.
“The task of the Kapolda is that with the establishment of a new Polda on both sides of the path we crossed earlier, hopefully activities will emerge that can encourage new economic growth for the people of Papua,” he said.
