SURABAYA – AMD Indonesia held a gathering with the theme of AMD Ryzen Mobile kaleidoscope throughout 2021. In the event AMD gave a flashback of AMD’s journey during 2021 along with sharing sessions.
According to Donnie Brahmandika, Product and retail Enablement of AMD Indonesia, as a series of the 2021 kaleidoscope, one of the special moments for AMD is the 5th anniversary of the Ryzen series processor journey.
Starting at Computex 2017, AMD collaborated with ASUS to introduce the ROG Strix GL702QC laptop which is the first Ryzen-powered laptop, using a Ryzen 7 1700 desktop CPU and Radeon RX 580 GPU.
In the same year, in October 2017, AMD officially introduced two of its newest Ryzen mobile processors with 4 cores and 8 threads, namely, Ryzen 5 2500U and Ryzen 7 2700U with Radeon Vega as a graphics card embedded in their laptops in collaboration with Acer, Asus ROG. , HP, Lenovo, and Dell as partners.
“The 2nd Generation Ryzen 3000 Series Mobile Processors are present as a series of Ryzen series processors at CES 2019. Using 12nm fabrication technology and AMD also released the latest processor series which later became a trend in lightweight gaming laptops, namely the H-Series which is devoted to faster gaming performance. ,” said Donnie virtually, Thursday (9/12).
In addition, in 2020, AMD announced the AMD Ryzen 4000 Series processor which is the world’s first x86 processor that uses a 7nm architecture and 8 cores and 16 threads. The AMD Ryzen 4000U Series is the only processor in the world with 8 cores for ultrathin laptops. With the presence of the AMD Ryzen 4000 Series, it provides faster processor performance and optimal power efficiency.
In addition, AMD also released a gaming processor but with a lower TDP, namely the AMD Ryzen 4000HS series which has a TDP of 35 Watts but with 8 cores and 16 threads. AMD Ryzen HS series is intended for thin and light gaming, one for portable gaming laptops with a thinner and slimmer size.
Next, in 2021, AMD provides an evolution by presenting the Ryzen 5000 series with 7nm fabrication but with a Zen 3 core architecture that features features with advanced technology and can be tailored to the needs of gamers, content creators, and professionals.
