Saturday 2 andSunday, April 3, 2022 will be held on the site of the Foundry in Herouville Saint-Clairnear Caen (Calvados), on 19e festival BD « Boards and Cows“. This new edition will be chaired by Thibaud de Rochebrune, who won the Golden Calf in 2019.
On this occasion, Eric Le Pape, the director of the Festival, reveals the novelties and the highlights of the weekend.
What are the novelties to discover for this 19th edition?
For this 19e edition, the festival is modernizing! Visitors will be able to take part in a treasure hunt called “The Dragon Egg Hunt”: Saturday and Sunday, 10 eggs will be hidden, whoever finds one will win a comic strip! Other new features: screen printing demonstration hosted by authors Delphine Le Lay and Alexis Horellou, the public will be able to create their own color screen printing, six original drawings (three on Saturday and three on Sunday) by Thibault de Rochebrune will be up for grabs…
The public will be invited to flash QR codes hidden in the Foundry room, there will still be the “Mystery Poster Game”: thirteen famous characters, machines or logos from comics, comics and manga are hidden in the poster by Thibault de Rochebrune! The game is to find them all to win a comic. Free game, one ticket per person to drop off at the festival shop.
How many authors will be present?
For this 19e edition, 42 authors will be signing, mainly in the afternoon: Amandine, Denis Bajram, Nicolas Barral, Bruno Bessadi, Julien Carette, Yann Corboz, Johann Corgié, Brice Cossu, Crip, Elvire De Cock, Thibaud de Rochebrune (President 2020), Richard Di Martino, Djet, Jean-Blaise Djian, Drac, David Etien, Arnaud Floc’h (Saturday only), Gérard Guéro (Angel), Yoann Guillo, Alexis Horellou (Suckling Veal 2019), Marie Jaffredo , Jay, Malo Kerfriden, Philippe Larbier, Delphine Le Lay (2019 milk-fed calf), Régis Loisel, Vincent Mallié, Valérie Mangin, Marko, Olivier Martin, Fabrice Meddour, Stéphane Perger, Hervé Pinel, Stéphane Puisney, Mathieu Salvia, Christine Schneider , Alexis Sentenac, Tampopoeiki, Cyrille Ternon, Tieko, Ronan Toulhoat and Fred Vignaux.
Grendizer invites itself to the Festival!
Four of the authors who participated in Grendizer volume 1, published on October 15, will be signing on Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. by drawing lots. They are Denis Bajram, Brice Cossu, Alexis Sentenac and Yoann Guillo.
