Comfortable Victory for Popular Party in Chipiona General Elections

Comfortable popular victory in Chipiona in the general elections held this July 23. The Popular Party has won the election at the polls in this municipality after obtaining the support of 34.3% of the ballots issued. The PP also improved significantly, but remained in third place. The Popular Party won 18.31% of the votes, which translated into two seats in Parliament. One more than in the previous elections.

In November 2019, Unidas Podemos experienced a slight decrease compared to the April call. Although the votes were similar, the popular party managed to snatch the second seat and were left with only one representative from Cádiz in Congress. 15.41% of Cadiz voters chose the purple force.

The big blow was for Ciudadanos. The oranges went from second to fifth option in the province in a matter of seven months. The party that Albert Rivera still led went from two to one seat in Cádiz. Only 9.14% of the population trust this political project.

62.28% of those registered in the census voted for a party, 37.72% chose abstention, 1.3% a null vote and 1.5% a blank vote.
