Andi revealed that comet ZTF is expected to pass near Earth on Thursday, February 2 at 00.32 WIB/01.32 WITA/02.32 WIT at a distance of 42,472,000 km from Earth.

As it passes near Earth, comet ZTF can be seen all over Indonesia from Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 18.30 until Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 02.30 local time or according to their respective time zones from the North near the constellation Camelopardalis.

“For DKI Jakarta and its surroundings, comet ZTF reached its highest point at 21.53 WIB with an altitude of 11.9 degrees,” said Andi.

When it reached the closest point, continued Andi, comet ZTF was visible in the north direction with an altitude of 7.4 degrees for DKI Jakarta and its surroundings.

Andi revealed, comet ZTF was observed using direct eyes for very low light polluted areas, for example in inland to light areas, namely in rural areas.
