“Comedy Latvia and Rap Improvisation Join the Lineup at “Positivus” Festival 2022″

For the first time, at the “Positivus” festival, in addition to music, in cooperation with the comedy association “Comedy Latvia”, it will be possible to delight the ears of fans of the comedy genre – the program is supplemented with “stand-up” comedy, improvisational theater and rap improvisation.

“Comedy Latvia” comedians have performed at the festival before and always gathered a lot of visitors who want to take a breather from jumping to the music for a short while, but they had disappeared from the festival for several years. Well, the comedians are coming back, and with a whole stage dedicated to humor. During two days, the visitors of the festival will be entertained by comedians from all four associations of Latvian comedians – “Comedy Latvia”, “Riga Stand-up”, “Sieviešu Stendaps” and “Borderline Comedy”. This comedy format will also be complemented by comedians’ friends – improvisers Valdis Sils, Marħers Majors and Rihards Sniegs.

A special addition to the “Comedy Latvia” stage will be “Brīvrunu Projekts” – rappers who create rhymes on the spot, improvising the texts. It should be reminded that “Brīnrunu Projektu” consists of “Ghetto Games” freestyle champions Abra and Zirnis, “Kreisais Krasts” locomotives EV and Jeekaa, free speech ancestor Sniegs and beat virtuoso Birch Please.

This year “Positivus Festival” will take place on July 14 and 15.
