Comedian Kenny DeForest Dies in Tragic Bicycle Accident: A Look Back at His Life and Impact

The actor, known for his appearances on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” and “The Late Late Show” with James Corden, died a few days ago after being involved in a bicycle accident.

DeForest’s passing at a young age was announced a day after the tragic accident that the young singer Pedro Henrique suffered after he died on stage while performing in front of audiences at the age of 30.

De Forest’s family and friends announced that they were mourning the loss of the writer and comedian yesterday, December 13, after he was involved in a bicycle accident in Brooklyn five days ago.

Kenny was admitted to the hospital where he underwent a delicate surgery shortly after the accident on December 8, according to the GoFundMe page, in an attempt by doctors “to remove a piece of his skull and relieve the pressure resulting from the brain hemorrhage,” but he died in the hospital, and was Surrounded by his parents, family and friends.

“Kenny DeForest had a huge positive impact on everyone he knew, and Kenny’s final moments included some of his favorite songs, stories from his childhood, and memories of his great positivity and joy in life,” the statement, shared by his friend Ryan Beck, said.

Beck noted that “Kenny’s impactful life will continue through the gift of organ donation,” adding, “Even after his death, he will continue to make valuable and meaningful improvements in the lives of others.”

In 2015, DeForest was featured as one of the names to watch on Comedy Central, and Brooklyn Magazine listed him as one of the 50 funniest people in New York City.

Kenny released his first stand-up comedy called “BAD Dreams” in 2017, and his show debuted at number one on iTunes. In the same year, he debuted on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” He also continued to appear on “The Late Late Show” with James Corden, “Friends of the People” on TruTV, and “Crashing” on HBO.
