Madura United able to comeback when faced with PSS Sleman of Menpora Cup 2021. Missed in the first half, Sape Kerrap won 2-1.
In a match at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Soreang, Bandung Regency, Tuesday (23/3/2021), PSS excelled in the first half via a goal from Irfan Jaya.
The former Persebaya Surabaya player scored a free kick in the 18th minute. There were not many opportunities in the first half, Madura United and PSS both let go of trials twice.
The second half begins, PSS get a golden opportunity. Irkham was left facing M. Ridho after Marckho Sandi failed to anticipate the cross, the ball from the player’s shot went wide.
Madura United tried their luck in the 55th minute. Hugo Gomes’ long shot can still be blocked by Fabiano.
A minute later Zulfiandi’s long-range shot hit Fabiano. The ball turned around to outwit Ega Rizky, but it was still wide.

Madura United could turn ahead in the 87th minute. Jaimerson’s free kick hits the live fence, into the PSS goal. Previously, there was a violation on Beto Goncalves in front of the PSS penalty.
Jaimerson’s free kick in injury time has yet to bear fruit for Madura United. The ball was right at Ega Rizky, the rebound was sent by Beto.
In the remainder of the match there were no additional goals, Madura United beat Super Eagle Jawa 2-1.
