Juarez City- Florinda Soto got up very early yesterday morning to become an altruistic blood donor of Donadores en Acción, knowing that more and more people need a transfusion to save their life.
“The donation is very important, especially for the children who need it. All who can come, do it: it is very simple and fast ”, declared Florinda, happy for her contribution.
Club Rotario Juárez Conecta and Donadores en Acción AC of Ciudad Juárez formed an alliance to promote the importance of altruistic blood donation, in favor of cancer patients who require it.
César Vázquez, president of the Juárez Conecta Rotary Club, said that Ciudad Juárez is among the last places of altruistic donation and its objective is to make people aware and join in this work.
“We go with young people and children to schools because it is easier to change the chip to them, so that within 10 years they will have that culture of altruistic donation because the blood donated from an altruist is cleaner than that of emergency”, he said. .
Maday Trejo, representative of the Voluntary Donation Program, mentioned that they seek through talks to instill among children, from an early age, the importance of donating blood.
“We are asking for the opportunity in maquilas, associations, shopping centers and universities, to raise awareness and educate for blood donation,” he said.
Both groups invited the Juarense community to visit them at the association’s facilities, located in Plaza Consular, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
